Records of "The Green Bar" property go back as far as 1847. The building was sold to Bridget (aka Delia) Cahalan On February 16th 1918. Delia founded The Green Bar and it remained in her family for 101 years.
The pub was sold to the Bourkes of Tower Hill in December of 2019. In March of 2020 the pub closed due to Covid 19. While closed many of the old features of the building were restored including stone work, terrazzo floors, wood beams and it's beautiful fireplace.

Borrisokane is a town in County Tipperary's Lough Derg Region, Ireland. It is situated at the junction of the N52 and N65 national secondary roads. The town is only a 45min drive from Limerick, just one hour away from Galway City and two hours from Dublin City and airport.

LOUGH DERG REGION
The Ballyfinboy River flows through the town on its way to Lough Derg, only 12 km to the west. Lough Derg is a large freshwater lake on the Shannon River, the longest river in both the UK and Ireland. Navigable over its full 40 km length, Lough Derg is hugely popular with pleasure cruisers as well as sailing, canoeing, and some of the best fishing Ireland has to offer.
